Tungnaa

The milky Tungnaa river meets the flatlands near the Kattahryggir trail. The river has its source by the Kerlingar mountains on the western edge of Vatnajokull glacier and can become extremely powerful. Travellers in the highlands have orften found it a formidable obstacle.
